Abortion is supposed to be about “choice,” right?
But without options, “choice” is a meaningless phrase. Yet this is what abortion advocates and so-called “clinic escorts” (deathscorts) seem to want: abortion without any alternatives or information.
One of the links posted to the inaugural “Pro-Life Link Party” was the text of a speech by Abigail Seidman, who had to work as a “clinic escort” because her mother worked for the clinic. I found Abigail’s insight on these volunteers valuable: [Continue reading ...]
Yesterday, Planned Parenthood of Illinois hosted a gala fundraising event at the Chicago History Museum with the outrageous theme, “Generations: A Celebration of Healthy Families.” The Pro-Life Action League was there to protest the event and share the truth that Planned Parenthood is—to say the least—unhealthy for American families.
Turnout was fantastic for an early evening protest like this, with 30 activists holding graphic abortion signs as well as picket signs reading Stop Abortion Now, Planned Parenthood Lies to You, Moms for Life and Dads for Life.
A threatened storm held off until a half hour after the protest, and Chicago police were cooperative as usual. [Continue reading ...]
You may remember the Pampers “Hello Baby” iPad app released last year to universal acclaim from pro-lifers.
And now, Pampers has produced this commercial:
Some time in the next few weeks, my wife is planning to have her pregnancy terminated.
Now, lest anyone be scandalized that a Pro-Life Action League employee would say such a thing, let me clarify:
My wife, Jocelyn, and I are expecting our 6th child. As of this Friday, she will be 39 weeks pregnant.
And, as babies growing and developing in the womb have a tendency of doing, our baby will, some time soon, be born. After this happens, suffice it to say, my wife will no longer be pregnant.
Thus, her pregnancy will have been terminated.
This occurred to me as I read a recent post by Life Dynamics’ Mark Crutcher, who wrote about the “rhetorical fraud” used by pro-choicers in which the term “pregnancy termination” is used as a euphemism for “abortion”:
The pro-life movement is not now, has never been, and will never be, opposed to pregnancy terminations. We are fully aware that all pregnancies terminate.
Remember this the next time [Continue reading ...]

The Population Research Institute has put out a new video called “Project Real Need.” It’s less than two minutes, but worth watching.
A very good point they make: Funding to cure malaria is uncontroversial and is necessary, yet we give even greater amounts of money to “family planning” measures that are controversial, are sometimes not even wanted by the locals, and are not beneficial.
On a related note, I’m glad GlaxoSmithKline is on board trying to help cure Malaria. But giving Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria $131,000 [pdf] to do it is just a bad idea. Again, talk about money going to the wrong place.
Looks like there are a lot of places we need to improve our spending habits…
Here’s a video of some of the highlight’s of last Saturday’s “Evening of Tribute to Joe Scheidler.” Joe and all of us at the League were humbled by all the kind words from our fellow pro-lifers and the opposition from the pro-abortion forces!
Thanks to everyone, and especially Dr. Monica Miller of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, for making it such a wonderful night!
On Tuesday, March 22, it was my honor to join pro-life activists from the United States and Belgium as we visited Ghent University to protest abortion and educate students with fetal development pictures and fliers about the upcoming March for Life in Brussels.
This was the first time pro-life activists ever took to the streets in Ghent. The Belgian groups involved were Youth for Life and Precious Youth; the American groups were Stand True Ministries, Survivors and the Pro-Life Action League.
Pro-life activism is on the rise in Europe!
This excellent new video, shot at the February “March for Choice” and produced by Catholic Vote, gives an incredibly candid look at the “pro-choice” movement and what it’s members really think.
The lack of value for human life, the strange hunger for the destruction of abortion and the overall crudeness of the video put the lie to the clean, happy face Planned Parenthood tries to put on the abortion business.
Watch the video and share it through all your social media outlets. Be particularly sure your “pro-choice” friends see it. They might be surprised at the truth about the movement they support.
Planned Parenthood supporters surrounded with pro-life signs at Federal Plaza [Photo by Sam Scheidler]
Last Wednesday, I discovered that Planned Parenthood was planning a “Rally for Women’s Health” on Federal Plaza in downtown Chicago on Friday, February 25. Planned Parenthood is on the ropes right now. They’ve never faced opposition like they’re facing in the current attempts to cut their Federal funding, and they’re freaking out. As such, we here at the League knew we couldn’t let them hold their rally unopposed.
With only two days notice, time was short, so our staff leaped into action planning a counter-protest. We alerted as many of our supporters as we could via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and phone and developed a piece of literature to hand out to passersby explaining “What’s Wrong with Planned Parenthood.” Read past the break for audio, video, news coverage and to download your own flyer! Just when Planned Parenthood thought they had seen everything Live Action had on them, Lila Rose and company dropped another video this morning, and it is a doozy.
In this video you’ll see a Planned Parenthood of New York employee engaged in such nefarious behavior as telling a couple she thinks are a pimp and a prostitute working underage illegal immigrants that they should lie and claim to be the girls’ legal guardians so they can get a discount! Watch the video after the jump. [Continue reading ...]
