Dallas got its first taste of a “Face the Truth” Tour this weekend, and the Pro-Life Action League was proud to have helped make it a success.
Andrew Smith of Pro-Life Texas organized the Tour and friend of the League and New Zealand activist Andy Moore joined in as well.
The League was able to provide some of the graphic abortion photos that were used on the Tour as well as guidance and insight gained in our 11 years of implementing Face the Truth across the country.
The news media took notice as well, and local Fox News aired the piece you can watch above. Congratulations on the successful Tour, Pro-Life Texas! Keep up the great work.
As we mentioned here on the Hotline back in August, the Pro-Life Action League is bringing a “Face the Truth” Tour to the Cincinnati metropolitan area, and that Tour is coming up on Saturday, October 8.
Face the Truth is a groundbreaking public education campaign where pro-lifers hold large pictures of aborted babies along major intersections.
Unlike sidewalk counseling or other forms of compassionate outreach to abortion-bound moms, Face the Truth seeks to reach the general public and raise awareness of the gruesome violence done to the child in the womb by abortion.
The Cincinnati Tour will visit three stops around Cincinnati for 90 minutes each: [Continue reading ...]
The Pro-Life Action League brought the true face of abortion to downtown Chicago yesterday with an “early-bird” Face the Truth Day.
Volunteers came from across Illinois to hold graphic signs showing the reality of abortion in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
The first site was outside of the LaSalle Street train station right next to the Chicago Board of Trade and the second was along Lake Shore Drive next to the historic Buckingham Fountain. Thousands saw the truth about abortion yesterday and conversations about abortion happened that would not have otherwise.
Check out these pictures for a feel for what this dynamic event was like:
Tomorrow, September 13, we will confront our fellow citizens with the reality of abortion in downtown Chicago with an “early bird” Face the Truth Day.
For the first site, we’ll be returning to the LaSalle Street Metra station for the first time since 2003. Then from there, it’s on to our tried and true site on Lake Shore Drive.
Holding graphic photos of abortion outside train stations always inspires some long-overdue conversation about abortion, and we’ll pass out tons of pro-life literature to commuters.
Join us if you can, but if not, please remember us — and everyone we will encounter tomorrow — in your prayers.
The schedule for tomorrow’s Truth Day is below.
SITE 1: LaSalle Street and Van Buren Street [Map]
WHEN: 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.
SITE 2: Lake Shore Drive and Jackson Boulevard [Map]
WHEN: 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
The Pro-Life Action League’s staff will show pro-lifers in Cincinnati, Ohio how a “Face the Truth Tour” is carried out by taking this highly successful project to the streets of the Queen City on Saturday, October 8.
Bringing the tour to Cincinnati was suggested by my cousin Tim Scheidler at the Tribute held in my honor earlier this year. Tim is from Cincinnati and believes a tour will not only alert the public to the barbaric practice of abortion, but will also help to increase the number of pro-life activists in the area.
Working with Tim to sign up volunteers for the tour is Jennifer Giroux, a legendary pro-life leader known across the country for her many successful campaigns against abortion. She has been instrumental in publicizing films such as The Passion of the Christ, promoting the campaigns of pro-life politicians and working behind the scenes to get local legislators to sponsor and pass anti-abortion legislation. Yesterday, the Pro-Life Action League brought the Face the Truth Tour to the northern Illinois city of Rockford.
This dynamic public education initiative brings graphic photos of the victims of abortion to major intersections, holding the reality of abortion before the eyes of the public.
Rockford is a major hotspot for abortion controversy. The abnormally creepy abortion mill there, run out of a disused grade school, has been the site of bizarre displays of anti-Christian hate speech as well as seemingly demonic antics on the part of the clinic’s owner, Wayne Webster. On Tuesday, August 9, the League will join forces with the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative for a Face the Truth Day in Rockford, Illinois.
This will be our 8th consecutive year visiting the city, which is unquestionably one of the nation’s abortion hot spots, due to the presence of the particularly bizarre and macabre — even by abortion facility standards — Northern Illinois Women’s Center.
Window displays at NIWC in recent years have included a rubber chicken attached to a Crucifix and a blasphemous poster showing Jesus giving the middle finger, along with the inscription “Even Jesus Hates You.”
A while ago I spoke with Kevin Rilott, one of the leaders of the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative, who regularly prays outside NIWC. Almost anticipating what I was thinking, he told me that a lot of people tell him they would never want to pray outside an abortion facility like this, where the evil is so palpable. Whenever the League takes to the streets with pictures of aborted babies, we come prepared to deal with opposition from pro-abortion groups.
Our summer Face the Truth Tour is a prime target for such opposition since we’re in populous areas and we advertise our times and dates to the public well in advance.
But the 2011 Face the Truth Tour faced almost no opposition from pro-abortion forces whatsoever, and we were able to quickly scuttle what little opposition did show up. Read past the break to find out how! [Continue reading ...]

On Friday, as I stood at the Face the Truth staging area at our site near a Taco Bell at 79th and Stony Island Avenue on Chicago’s South Side, a young woman drove up and asked to buy one of our red Truth Tour shirts. She then sat in her car eating her lunch.
About 20 minutes later, this young woman rolled down her window and asked if we had any information about counseling after an abortion. I brought her a Project Rachel card [PDF] with the number 800-848-LOVE for post-abortion counseling.
She then told me that looking at the pictures of the aborted babies is very hard. And she told me it brought back to the forefront her own abortion over 20 years ago. She talked about the fact that she knew it was wrong. She had repented and she believed that God had forgiven her. But still she felt the need to talk to someone about her own personal experience. There’s so many stories from this year’s Tour, but sometimes a picture says it best. Check out this slide show with 2 pictures from each day of the League’s 2011 Face the Truth Tour:
