How many children have you adopted? There are too many unwanted children now!
Though many people believe our society is overburdened by “unwanted” children, the truth is that there are many more couples seeking to adopt children than there are children available for adoption. Each year approximately 115,000 children are adopted in the United States and approximately 114,000 children in foster care are eligible for adoption, while an estimated one to two million couples are currently seeking to adopt a child. That means that for every child placed for adoption, there are at least nine more couples waiting to adopt a baby.
