The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed a bill to expand the Child Tax Credit, and the measure is now before the U.S. Senate. Pro-Life Action League executive director Eric Scheidler offers the following statement in support of the bill:
As the father of eight children, I know just how important the child tax credit is — and how much American families have come to rely on this tax relief. As a pro-life activist and leader concerned about the economic pressures that drive women to get abortions they would otherwise not choose, I consider CTC expansion to be an essential pro-life measure. This bill should be strongly supported by any legislator who claims the pro-life mantle.
