All-Night Prayer Vigil Oct. 1-2 outside Planned Parenthood in Aurora, Illinois

Ten years ago today, Planned Parenthood was scheduled to open their doors in Aurora, Illinois. But it didn’t happen. Why not?

The answer is simple: Prayer.

When the pro-life community learned that Planned Parenthood had secretly moved into town, we launched a round-the-clock prayer vigil at the building site.

Eventually, that prayer movement led to other kinds of pro-life activism, including demanding that the City of Aurora investigate Planned Parenthood for fraud.

That investigation is why Planned Parenthood missed their opening day back in 2007. But it all started with prayer.

As you know, Planned Parenthood did eventually open up in Aurora. And soon the abortions started. But when they did, we were there to offer women help choosing life for their babies.

But can you believe it’s been ten years?

To mark this anniversary, I’m inviting you to join me for a special candlelight prayer service out at Planned Parenthood on Sunday, October 1st, followed by an all-night prayer vigil:

Candlelight Prayer Service

  • When: Sunday, October 1st, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Where: Planned Parenthood, 3051 E. New York Street, Aurora, IL [Map]

All-Night Prayer Vigil

  • When: Sunday-Monday, October 1st-2nd, 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Where: Planned Parenthood, 3051 E. New York Street, Aurora, IL [Map]

If you want to take part in the all-night vigil, sign up here for an hour or two. My goal is to have 4 people out there praying at all hours through the night.

No need to sign up for the candlelight service — just come on out at 7:00 p.m. the evening of October 1st to join me and your fellow Aurora-area pro-lifers for an hour of prayers and inspiring talks.

Whether you were deeply involved in the historic battle against Planned Parenthood in 2007 or are just hearing about this story now, I hope you’ll be a part of this special evening of prayer.
