April 24, 1986—League Director Joe Scheidler (pictured right with Fr. Paul Marx) gives a series of talks entitled “Methods of Closing Abortion Mills” in Montreal, Canada, at Fr. Paul Marx’s second International Symposium on Human Sexuality. Other speakers include John Cavanaugh O’Keefe, Don DeMarco and Stephen Mosher. The Heritage House booth at the conference features Scheidler’s book CLOSED: 99 Ways to Stop Abortion. Scheidler also joins a picket of infamous Canadian abortionist Dr. Henry Morgenthaler, garnering significant media coverage.
