February 14, 1997—League director Joe Scheidler speaks at a Collegians Activated to Liberate Life (CALL) Conference in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Members of CALL take a year off their studies to promote the pro-life cause on campuses across the country. Bryan Kemper (pictured left), who would later found Stand True Ministries, also spoke at the conference. The conference group also pickets the local Planned Parenthood office, where abortions are performed by twin doctors whose father is a physician at nearby Covenant hospital, which the CALL group also pickets.
