January 9, 1984—League Director Joe Scheidler completes chapter 97 of his book CLOSED: 99 Ways to Stop Abortion on the importance of prayer and penitence in the abortion battle. The chapter is titled, “Whatever You Do, Do It With Love.” CLOSED would become Exhibits 1 and 2 in the landmark NOW v. Scheidler case, in which Joe would be called the ringleader of a violent pro-life conspiracy.
