Pro-lifer talks with police on a Face the Truth Tour in Joliet, IllinoisToday in League HistoryJuly 11, 2008—Police in Joliet, Illinois shut down the League’s Face The Truth Tour site, allowing only ten pro-lifers to remain in place with their signs. They claim that more than ten signs would constitute a “parade,” requiring a permit, and threaten to arrest the entire group. Later review of Joliet ordinances reveals that protests like Face the Truth are exempt from the parade permit requirement. The League would return to the Joliet site in 2009 without incident.
