Judge James HoldermanToday in League HistoryJuly 7, 1987—Federal District Judge James Holderman issues his initial ruling denying defendants’ Motion to Dismiss in the NOW v. Scheidler case, brought against League director Joe Scheidler and other pro-life activists for allegedly violating of the Sherman-Clayton Anti-Trust Act by disrupting the abortion business. Holderman would later reverse this decision and dismiss the case, only to have that ruling reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court.
