In the wake of Barack Obama’s victory on November 4, many pro-lifers are in a quandary about the next step to take. Monica Miller, director of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, wasted no time in pulling together a pro-life summit to set the tone for the coming battle for life.
The Pro-Life Summit was held Saturday, January 10 at Christ the King Conference Center in Ann Arbor, MI. Top experts in pro-life strategy and activism addressed the capacity crowd of 500. In fact over two hundred applicants had to be turned away due to space constraints.

Joe Scheidler’s presentation on the Church Militant in the Age of Obama received a standing ovation. He recommended that pro-lifers read Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope, where they will discover that Obama is obsessed with the topic of abortion, and even admits that he may be judged by history to have been on the wrong side of the issue.
Scheidler emphasized that the pro-life activist is not dependent on the resident of the White House or the makeup of the Congress to save lives through sidewalk counseling and public education.
Other speakers at the Summit included Janet Smith, Al Kresta, Lansing Bishop Earl Boyea, Deal Hudson and Fr. Frank Pavone.
