Last month, Annie wrote about the March for Life on January 22. At the time, it seemed so far away. Now, it’s a mere ten days away. This will my fifth time attending the March, and I’m looking forward to it even more this year than I have in the past, thanks to an idea Eric had. A few months ago, a few of us were talking about the upcoming March for Life, and Eric mentioned how great it would be if we could somehow encourage the hundreds of thousands of our fellow pro-lifers — most of them teens and young adults — who come to the March to keep up that kind of witness when they return home. So this year, we’ll be passing out “Marching Orders” to our fellow pro-lifers, thanking them for making the effort to come all the way to our nation’s capital to take a stand against abortion, and also asking them to keep up that level of activity throughout the year. We’ll be giving specific ideas — things like starting a pro-life club at school, organizing a pro-life demonstration, and getting involved with sidewalk counseling — and an offer to help getting started. You can see a full-color PDF of the handout here.
Join Us!
If you’re going to March, we invite you to join us to help pass out the “Marching Orders” cards. If you’re interested, contact us, and we’ll give you more details on where and when to meet. And even if you can’t make it to Washington, you can still help us out by spending some time in prayer that our appeal to our fellow pro-lifers will inspire a greater level of activism throughout the country this year. We especially ask for prayers at some time during the hours of 1:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern Time next Monday, January 22, when the March is taking place.
