Last evening, Bishop J. Peter Sartain, of the Diocese of Joliet, celebrated Mass with a crowd of Catholics involved in the movement to keep Planned Parenthood out of our city. I was impressed with his humility and thanked him for his call for prayer and fasting this past Friday, Sept 7th. Bishop Sartain called all of us to show a reverence for life, because it is important! That is why we show reverence for life. Thank you Bishop Sartain for your constant promotion of a culture of life. The celebration and intention of this Mass was picked up by channel 7 news in Chicago, which aired some footage about the Bishop’s visit to Our Lady of Mercy parish on Eola road, just down the street from the new PP facility. It’s great to see the media coving the work and prayer that we are doing here to save babies and women from the horrors of abortion. After the Mass, many people hung around to talk with the Bishop and to receive a blessing. Pictured at the right is Eric Scheidler with Bishop Sartain.
