The Kids Aren’t All Right

Amy Welborn posted on her blog yesterday an e-mail she received from one of her readers:

I recently attended a wedding in Madison, WI and this past Saturday morning (9/2) I visited the Farmer’s Market surrounding the capitol. My family noticed that Planned Parenthood had a table there and they were giving balloons to children. These balloons had their name and logo on them. While I don’t know what can be done about this, I found it to be very disturbing. Society has done much to prevent tobacco companies from marketing to teens; promoting Planned Parenthood to children is equally, or even more disturbing.

While this is reprehensible, I can’t say as I’m surprised. (After all, this is not just Planned Parenthood we’re talking about, but Planned Parenthood in the Moscow of the Midwest.) It seems that whenever we think the culture of death can’t get any more depraved, it outdoes itself. That Planned Parenthood is now handing out kiddie balloons at farmers’ markets is further confirmation that when sincere belief in a loving, providential, and just God is absent, all bets are off, and anything is possible.
