On Saturday, January 28, four hundred pro-lifers from across the state of Illinois gathered for SpeakOut Illinois, including a keynote address by Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics and six workshops on a wide range of pro-life topics. The Pro-Life Action League’s Executive Director, Ann Scheidler, spearheaded the 2006 conference at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace.

The League’s communications director, Eric Scheidler, presented a workshop on the Deception of Contraception, illustrating the direct connection between legalizing the sale of contraceptives and legalizing abortion. Eric discussed the impact of the contraceptive mentality even on those who do not use contraceptives themselves.
