The 2003 Chicago Face the Truth tour began its second week today, July 15. Over four dozen pro-life volunteers joined us at 79th and Halsted in Chicago, Torrence and Sibley in Calumet City, and Calumet Avenue and 165th Street in Hammond, IN.
Response from passers-by was exteremely possitive at the 79th and Halsted stop on the South Side of Chicago, where some of our signs highlighted the Planned Parenthood office at that intersection. Response was on the whole positive at the other sites too. The police in Calumet City and Hammond were less cooperative than in Chicago, but professional.
We were treated to a delicious home-made lunch on our way to the Hammond site at St. Thomas More Church in Munster, IN.
