Exciting New Video Shows “Face the Truth” in Action

Posted by Matt Yonke (June 22, 2011 at 9:47 am)

With our summer “Face the Truth” Tour hitting the streets July 8-16, the Pro-Life Action League is proud to present an exciting new video explaining the Face the Truth approach to pro-life activism and why we believe it’s one of the most important tools in fighting abortion. Check it out:

The video was shot on last year’s Face the Truth Tour by the crack team over at Spirit Juice Studios and really captures the League’s unique approach to the tactic in a punchy 2 and a half minute package.

This video is a great way to show your friends or family who might be unsure about joining in pro-life activism that it’s necessary for our culture to see the reality of abortion. It also shows that regular people from all walks of life take part and that it’s safe and effective.

Share this video and the Face the Truth Tour itinerary with your friends and on all your social networks today. Let’s get people fired up about sharing the pro-life message with Face the Truth!

I participated at the Truth Tour in Maryland(MD–aka. Moral Decay, since it is #4 as the most pro-abort state, and a safe haven for baby killing doctors like leroy carhart). It was the first time and I can’t wait to do it again! Keep up the good work!

I appreciate and am thankful for your time, energy and talent for this two minute pro-life exchange. Currently unemployed, I pray for your continuing success.
Let me know how I can get these organizational materials for the Modesto 40 day Pro-life group. Thanks again. Vaya Con Dios. Jean

This is not necessary. After reading Abbey Rose “Unplanned” I believe that Praying and a more lovable approach is what is needed. Pray and do sidewalk consoling at the abortion clinic. Talk to Brian Gibson (Pro-Life Action Ministries) to see how it is done.

This is a WONDERFUL VIDEO! The Scheidlers ROCK!!!!

Vic, with all do respect… I used to agree with you, but then I actually saw babies saved through using the pictures. I know that Abby Johnson has a different angle to the whole debate and is against the pictures, but the truth is clear – graphic images SAVE BABIES!!!

The Scheidlers ROCK and I can only imagine how many children they have saved through their work. Thank you Joe and family :)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Vic — You’ve misinterpreted Abby. Joe and Eric Scheidler have talked to her about her position on the issue. She believes, as the League does, that the use of graphic signs directly in front of an abortion clinic is not the most persuasive approach but she is not opposed to their use generally outside the clinic setting.

We don’t use graphic signs outside the clinics as a general rule and that’s not at all what the Face the Truth Tour is about. Face the Truth is a public education initiative, not a counseling effort.

That said, the League is actively involved in sidewalk counseling and prayer outside abortion clinics. You might notice there’s an entire section of our website devoted to it.

The League helped develop the “Chicago Method” of sidewalk counseling, one of the most popular sidewalk counseling techniques. We hold frequent sidewalk counseling training seminars, we make available literature for counselors, we schedule sidewalk counselors at local clinics.

In the sidewalk counseling section of the website we have a map listing all the various sidewalk counseling organizations across the country and a training video called “No Greater Joy” along with other resources.

We have a very close working relationship with Brian Gibson. In fact, you might be surprised to know he’s borrowed graphic abortion signs from us to use in his ministry in the past.

In closing, as Kate said, the bottom line is that graphic abortion images save babies from abortion and change hearts and minds. We see it first hand every time we take them out on the street. If you don’t want to use them that’s your prerogative, but it’s not helpful to disparage the effective tactics of other pro-lifers.

I was pro-choice until I saw pictures of an aborted fetus. Changed my mind and heart forever. God bless all those that take part in the Face the Truth Tour.

I did one of these tours once. Believe it or not, I was once pro-choice. When I started praying the rosary (daily) my heart and mind were changed. This is a great video!

  11. Ernestine Standberry says:

On Tuesday, at the corner of Jackson & Michigan Avenue…a young woman stopped me saying she understand that abortion is wrong…she says she’s a born again Christian, however, she felt she had the right to choice to not have her daughter who was with her look at the picture. I told her she had that right! What I’m getting at is what she really wanted to say is…She has the right to petition against the Pro-Life Action League..a Court order demanding that we don’t show these graphic images. This is the next step on the Planned Parenthood Agenda…I just believe it really will be something brought before the Supreme Court! Joe Amos, Videographer from CAN-TV will be finishing up the touches on IPF video which will also be on Youtube! Will call your office when I get an air date from CAN-TV!
