Justice Harry BlackmunToday in League HistoryOctober 10, 1987—The League protests a speech by Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun at the Kent College School of Law 50th anniversary celebration. It had been reported that Blackmun was canceling all engagements due to health problems, but the League found out at the last minute that this was not so. League volunteers passed out hundreds of flyers comparing honoring Blackmun—whose Roe v Wade decision killed millions of babies—with honoring Adolph Eichman—whose decisions killed millions of Jews and finally resulted in his execution for war crimes.
