Yesterday it was my great privilege to attend the burial of the 2,411 aborted babies whose bodies were hoarded by notorious abortionist Ulrich Klopfer.
The burial took place at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana, where Klopfer had operated the shabby Women’s Pavilion abortion facility. Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill offered some official remarks, and then there was a brief prayer service led by Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life.
I have visited the gravesites of aborted children before, but never a fresh grave like this one. And since these babies were all aborted in the early 2000s, one almost had the sense this was the mass grave of 2,411 teenagers.
At the top of this page is a 5-minute video I shot at the gravesite with some reflections I wanted to share.
The burial place of Klopfer’s 2,411 victims will stand as a powerful statement that the violence done to these children — and the tens of thousands Klopfer killed during his career — has been revealed, and will never be forgotten.
