Chicago, October 28, 2019 — With the Chicago area still reeling from the scandal of fetal remains being hoarded by deceased abortionist Ulrich Klopfer, a coalition of Chicago-area pro-life groups is planning to protest a fundraiser for the nation’s largest abortion chain. The coalition — including Students for Life of America, Chicago Pro-Life Future, Illinois Right to Life, and the Pro-Life Action League — will protest a Halloween-themed “Trivia Night” fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Illinois tomorrow at Revolution Brewing on Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago.

The groups have planned a dynamic protest including signs, banners, literature, and laser-projected messages, all sharing the facts about the nation’s largest abortion chain. The protest will kick off at 5:30 p.m. and run through 10:00 p.m.

“Even many of Planned Parenthood’s most dedicated supporters don’t realize the organization is responsible for 39% of all U.S. Abortions,” said Pro-Life Action League executive director Eric Scheidler, who is coordinating the protest. “That’s 912 abortions a day — one of the many pieces of Planned Parenthood ‘trivia’ we’ll be sharing with the public.”

Illinois Right to Life executive director Mary Kate Knorr observed, “Planned Parenthood fired their last executive director, Leana Wen, after only nine months on the job because she wanted to focus on the legitimate health-care needs of women. But Planned Parenthood’s priority is abortion.”

In response to the Halloween theme of the Trivia Night, Upper Midwest Regional Coordinator for Students for Life of America Sarah Minnich commented, “Planned Parenthood spooks me. There is nothing creepier then selling baby body parts, secretly building a mega-facility, harassing former employees, and profiting off the difficulties of women and their families.”

Chicago Pro-Life Future Vice President Chris Iverson remarked, “Each abortion this corporation commits takes a human life.  Everyone knows it, including Planned Parenthood, but they’re too scared and embarrassed to admit it.”
