March 19, 1982—As Joe Scheidler boards a flight to Omaha, Nebraska, at O’Hare Airport, the pilot recognizes the Precious Feet pin on his lapel. He tells Scheidler that he is also a minister and schedules his flights for weekends to minister to airline personnel, and mentions that he always tries to watch the D. James Kennedy (pictured left) service on TV. The pilot is delighted to learn that Joe is scheduled to appear on the next D. James Kennedy program, and responds by executing a perfect soft landing in Omaha. The passengers break into applause at this rare event.
