January 31, 1987—League Director Joe Scheidler leads a large picket of Planned Parenthood in Annapolis, Maryland, the site of three botched abortions. The picket was infiltrated by local police, but no arrests were made and the protest proceeded without interference. Local television and newspapers interviewed Scheidler and reported on the event. Scheidler spent the evening at the home of well-known pro-life rescuer Joan Andrews’ sister, watching old family films of the Andrews kids.
