Girls Inc. ProtestToday in League HistoryNovember 25, 2005—The League pickets the American Girl Store on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile on “Black Friday” in response to the company’s partnership with the pro-abortion group Girls, Incorporated, whereby 70ยข out of every $1 spent on a special “I Can” bracelet goes to the radical feminist group. The picket features several pro-life girls, each holding a pink “Girls for Life” signs along with her American Girl dolls, fitted with a doll-sized versions of the sign. Other signs read “Moms for Life” and “Dads for Life,” and hundreds of fliers using the distinctive American Girl typeface and colors are distributed to holiday shoppers, many of whom refuse to enter the store on learning about the partnership with Girls, Inc.
