Joe Scheidler getting arrested in DenverToday in League HistoryJune 12, 1986—Arriving at a hotel in Denver, Colorado at midnight, League Director Joe Scheidler is arrested and charged with burglary stemming from a protest in Pensacola, Florida. He spends the night in jail. The next morning he does 19 interviews and is released in the afternoon to find a crowd outside the prison chanting “Let Joe go!” The charges were later dropped.
