June 4, 1991—The League pickets pro-abortion former Illinois governor Jim Thompson at St. Ignatius College Prep’s graduation. League Director Joe Scheidler’s own daughter, Cathy, is among the graduates. The League asks the audience not to applaud his speech and, between his political views and his boring speech, almost no one does. Several teachers thank the League for bringing credibility to the event.
