Thursday: Pro-Life Advocates Celebrate Life and Protest Abortion with Press Conference and Rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Cedar Rapids, Iowa— Multiple pro-life organizations including the Pro-Life Action League are submitting the following:

Pro-life activists from around the Midwest will gather for a press conference, prayer and protest this Thursday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to counter the presence of Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and the 30th Anniversary of Planned Parenthood of East Central Iowa. At the rally, pro-lifers will be collecting baby goods to donate to local crisis pregnancy centers.

“In the 30 years since Planned Parenthood of East Central Iowa was founded, 185,000 unborn Iowans have been killed by abortion, most by this Planned Parenthood facility,” said Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League, who helped coordinate the day’s events. “We want Cecile Richards and Planned Parenthood to know that abortion is nothing to celebrate.”
