Speakout2009 Logo

The Pro-Life Action League joins over thirty pro-life organizations in Northern Illinois in presenting the nineteenth annual SpeakOut Illinois Conference Saturday, January 31, 2009.

This year’s theme, Rekindle the Fire, is geared to igniting hope and energy in pro-lifers who may be discouraged with the outcome of the November elections.

Fr. Tom Euteneuer, director of Human Life International will open the day with a talk on the Fight for Life Around the World. Dr. Alveda King, niece of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, will speak on the importance of getting involved in the pro-life movement.

The Henry Hyde Life Leadership Award will be presented to Phyllis Schlafly for her decades’ long struggle for the dignity of women and children.

Alveda King will also address the TeenSpeak audience on tuning in to the attacks on life with her address Can You Hear Me Now? Teens will also hear from Bryan Kemper, director of Stand True Ministries. He will tell the teens that Social Justice Begins in the Womb, but It Doesn’t End With a T-Shirt.

To register, download and mail in the registration form, or call Illinois Right to Life at 312-422-9300. For more information on TeenSpeak, visit the TeenSpeak page on the SpeakOut website.
