League Launches New Website for Notre Dame Protest

Notre Dame President John Jenkins’ invitation of President Obama to give this year’s commencement address and receive an honorary doctor of laws degree has sent shock-waves through the Catholic community and the pro-life world at large.

Fr. Jenkins move clearly honors this nation’s most pro-abortion president, despite the USCCB’s clear teaching that Catholic institutions should not honor pro-abortion politicians.

So that this scandalous event might not pass unnoticed, the Pro-Life Action League and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, based in South Lyon, Michigan have launched a new website to coordinate their joint protest efforts of this scandalous commencement address: NotreDameProtest.com.

Both the League’s Joe Scheidler, a Notre Dame graduate and former teacher, and Citizens’ Monica Miller, a professor of Sacred Theology at St. Mary’s College of Madonna University, have been unable to convince University President Fr. John Jenkins, CSC, to cancel his invitation to Barack Obama to speak at the commencement. Both Scheidler and Miller, veteran pro-life activists, agree that there is no choice but to protest on graduation day.
