This past Tuesday, August 7, I attended the Alpha Omega Teens for Life meeting in Byron, IL. Alpha Omega was started last December by Sabina Kruse and her two children, Heather and Chipper and some of their friends. The group has grown considerably and has been very active over the past seven months and has many great plans for this fall and winter. The evening started with a wonderful meal prepared by Sabina Kruse. Then the group met for a presentation by Fr. Aaron Brodeski, pastor of St. Mary’s in Byron. He is helping to plan a cemetery to the unborn this October during Respect Life Month along with different activities throughout the month. He’s not only a dedicated pro-life pastor, but is also committed to the teens. Praise God! Following Father’s presentation, I spoke to the teens about educating themselves on all life issues so that they can, as Jesus said, “Go forth and teach!†At the end of the meeting, I was pleasantly surprised with a baby shower for our second little one due in early September. That usually doesn’t happen for baby number 2. It was a wonderful and generous treat. Please keep the Alpha Omega Teens for Life in your prayers!
