Chicago, August 24—”Our commitment to pro-life activism has taken us to the United States Supreme Court — now for the third time,” said Joseph M. Scheidler, National Director of the Chicago-based Pro-Life Action League, “and we are proud to celebrate twenty-five years of protesting the evil of abortion.”

The Pro-Life Action League will celebrate its twenty-fifth anniversary with a Jubilee Banquet October 2 at the Drury Lane Oakbrook. The League will present its “Show the Truth” award to Drew Mariani, host of Relevant Radio’s national talk program, The Drew Mariani Show. Mr. Mariani has been courageous in his discussion of controversial topics, such as the showing of graphic abortion images on the public streets and the withdrawal of nutrition from handicapped people. His forthright treatment of moral issues has earned him the respect of the Pro-Life Action League.

Fr. Paul Marx, pro-life pioneer and founder of Human Life International and Fr. Frank Pavone, founder and national director of Priests for Life will join Scheidler and supporters of the Pro-Life Action League at the Jubilee celebration.

A highlight of the Jubilee evening will be the showing of selected segments of the League’s exciting new video, Action Speaks Louder than Words, and the release of the anniversary edition of Joe Scheidler’s book, CLOSED: The Pro-Life Activist’s Manual. The book is a completely revised and updated version of Scheidler’s original book CLOSED: 99 Ways to Stop Abortion, featuring new chapters and a more user-friendly format.

“I am proud of the accomplishments of the Pro-Life Action League in these past twenty-five years,” said Scheidler. “We look forward to celebrating our past and launching our future on October 2 at Drury Lane.”
