The Pro-Life Action League is pleased to announce the publication of an excellent new book by long-time pro-life activist and theologian Monica Migliorino Miller. In The Theology of The Passion of the Christ, Miller offers a scene-by-scene, in-depth analysis of the theology presented by Gibson’s moving film.

In a style accessible to average readers, Miller deals with issues like the Eucharistic and Marian themes of the book, the way Gibson deals with Jews and Judaism, and how viewers’ lives have been transformed by the film. She also compared The Passion of the Christ with other movies on the life of Christ.

Catholic Leaders Praise Miller’s Book

The book has been praised by the likes of Chicago’s Francis Cardinal George and Fr. Benedict Groeschel. Barbara Nicolosi of Act One wrote the introduction to the book.

League National Director Joe Scheidler says that Miller “illustrates how and why the Passion is so much more penetrating and captivating than any other film on Jesus Christ.” He goes on to comment that “Monica is not only a highly qualified theologian, but has suffered her own passion in her courageous struggle to save unborn babies and their mothers from abortion.”

Monica Migliorino Miller, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Sacred Theology at St. Mary’s College of Madonna University in Orchard Lake, MI and the Executive Director of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society.
