The Pro-Life Action League has just concluded our fifth annual Face the Truth Tour thoughout Chicagoland, and it was a great success. Over four hundred volunteers showed up at 24 different sites in downtown Chicago, the South Side, southwest and northwest suburbs, the North Shore and as far away as Rockford. The “Summer Blitz” Tour showed hundreds of thousands of motorists and pedestrians what abortion does to unborn children.
Hallmarks of the 2004 Tour
A special effort was made in this year’s Tour to highlight the humanity of unborn children in the first trimester, when most abortions are performed. We used more first trimester abortion pictures and more pictures of a beautiful fetus at eight weeks than in past years.

Another change was the use of a special “HELP” sign with an 800 number that passersby could call for crisis pregnancy or post-abortion help. We also added new text to our “Jesus” signs, on which a crying Jesus holds an aborted fetus in the palm of his hand: “Jesus forgives and heals.”
Volunteers and organizers also agreed that this was the most well-organized Tour yet, with many sites already set up with a basic display before the posted start time, and the vans loaded and unloaded with record speed.
