Tony and Ceil Levatino, Ann Scheidler, Martha Beasley and Joe Scheidler at the Dona Ana County, New Mexico Right to Life banquet
In January, Dr. Anthony Levatino presented a workshop at the annual SpeakOut Illinois conference at the Hyatt Regency Oakbrook. While in Chicago, he invited the Scheidlers to visit him and his wife, Ceil, at their new home in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Levatinos relocated there from Troy, NY in 2002. Tony is in OB-Gyn practice and both are heavily involved in the pro-life movement both locally and statewide.
Tony and Ceil arranged for Joe Scheidler to speak at the first annual banquet for the Dona Ana County chapter of Right to Life of New Mexico on March 22. Two hundred pro-lifers gathered for the event, including some teens from El Paso, TX who had recently invited Annie Scheidler to address their high school pro-life club.

Two Beautiful Sights of New Mexico
One of Tony Levatino’s many hobbies is astronomy, and nowhere in the land could be better for star gazing than southern New Mexico. From the Levatinos’ back yard the night sky is a panorama of the heavens. Tony set up his large telescope so that Joe and Ann could view the rings around Saturn — a beautiful site that reminds one of our Creator’s majesty.
Tony pointed out another beautiful sight on the way to Mass on Tuesday morning: the former Planned Parenthood office, now closed, with the building up for sale.
Following a morning of sightseeing in Mesilla, the Scheidlers and Levatinos drove to Albuquerque, about two hundred miles north of Las Cruces, where Tony and Ceil were scheduled to be the guest speakers at a fundraising dinner for the Albuquerque area CareNet centers. They spoke about their journey from the abortion industry to the pro-life movement and urged those in attendance to make bigger sacrifices and get more involved fighting against abortion and supporting the work of CareNet.
After an authentic Mexican lunch at La Posta restaurant in Mesilla, the Scheidlers returned to Chicago from the El Paso, TX airport.
