The Pro-Life Action League and volunteers from the Chicago area will hold huge, graphic photographs of abortion along the streets and overpasses and at train stations in Chicago and its suburbs starting Wednesday, July 9, 2003.

This fourth annual Face the Truth Tour runs from July 9th through the 19th and will focus the first week in downtown Chicago.

“Many people have no idea what abortion really is,” said Joseph M. Scheidler, National Director of the Pro-Life Action League. “We are going to be out there for two weeks to help them understand why abortion cannot be tolerated—human life is our most precious gift.

Following their stunning 8-1 victory in the U.S. Supreme Court, Scheidler and the Pro-Life Action League sense that pro-lifers are re-energized to take the mission to the streets. “Every time a Truth Tour takes place, lives are saved,” said Scheidler. When people face what abortion does to a baby, they are horrified. They don’t want to be responsible for the mutilation of their own child.”

“Our victory in the Supreme Court reaffirms our First Amendment right to free expression,” said Scheidler. “Every year more than a million unborn babies are killed by abortion. It is our duty as Americans to preach the truth about abortion and rid our country of this tragedy.”

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the demonstrations will take place in downtown Chicago. On Saturday, July 12, the Tour will head to the south side of Chicago. Next week, from Tuesday through Saturday, the Tour will be held in suburbs to the south, west and north of Chicago. The detailed itinerary is attached.
