League Clashes with Pro-Aborts on Campus Face the Truth Tour

Pro-Aborts Turn Violent, League Shifts Strategy

This spring the Pro-Life Action League brought our Face the Truth Tour to Chicago area college and university campuses. From the first Tour date in March we were confronted by hostile counter-demonstrators.

The angry cabal of anarchists, atheists, radical feminists and miscellaneous leftists turned violent in April. In response we shifted strategy for the remainder of the Campus Tour, and continued to peacefully teach Chicago's students the truth about abortion.

Students Face the Truth in La Salle County, Illinois

The League's Eric Scheidler and Son Nate travelled to Lasalle Co., IL in April to team up with Pat Wagner and Illinois Valley Citizens for Life for a one-day Face the Truth Tour of area schools. Public reaction at Illinois Valley Community College was civil and largely positive. Not so at Ottawa High School.

In March Joe Scheidler spoke to a large gathering at St. Mary's Church in Griffith, IN, at the invitation of Fr. Ted Mens, who has been active in pro-life since the 1970s. Scheidler called upon his audience to respond to God's call like Mary: "Let it be done unto me according to thy word."
