Letters to the Editor
Joe,
There are so many needy causes, but I feel Our Lord calling me to "dig deeper" to help you. It's only a "drop in the bucket," but I pray my gift will be only one of many to fill that bucket. I am praying for you and your family for the Courts to expedite and do what is right and for Fay's conversion.
Charlotte McDonald, Pearl, MS
Dear Editor,
As pro-life advocates we have to stay the course, fight the good fight, but be outspoken when it calls for us to do so! The majority of "Catholic" politicians in the U.S. Congress are pro-abortion and have been since their entrance into the political arena. The bishops have admonished these hypocrites time and time again but it has done little to change their pro-abortion stance.
It is time for Excommunication to be evoked and done so openly! The over 45 million babies that have been legally slain since 1973 are a sad, depraved example for a Christian nation blessed by God so abundantly.

Dear Joe,
Your daughter, Annie, will go straight to Heaven for her magnificent work. She is a tribute to you and your wife's example. She is a chip off the old block! I wish I had many millions to give you but I am poor. People do give me small amounts of money and I pass it along to good pro-lifers. Herewith, then is $50.
In Domino,
Fr. Paul B. Marx, OSB, Collegeville, MN
Dear Joe, Eric, Annie and Staff,
Wonderful June '03 issue of the Action News. I use it daily to give thanks to our great God and loving Father and to ask Him for more blessings.
Sincerely Yours,

[Back to Top]Dear Pro-Life Action League,
Hi and congratulations on your long-awaited Supreme Court victory. Praying that all abortion ends, and that NOW releases your home undamaged to you.
Thanks and God bless you,
Sandi Denis, Bismarck, ND
Dear Joe,
May the Lord give you peace. Thank you for being a committed and faithful pro-life activist. Please extend my thanks to your wife, Ann, your son Eric, and your daughter, Annie, too. I am very grateful for the love and concern your family shows for all children who are or were in danger of abortion and for their mothers.
Thank you for praying for the conversion of your enemies each day. God hears your prayers, especially when they are presented before the throne by the Blessed Virgin Mary.
God bless you all. Love and prayers,
Brother Tom Burke, Kansas City, KS
Dear Joe,
After reading that you still aren't able to get $70,000 of your money back since the Supreme Court trial, a few of us had a garage sale. The proceeds from the garage sale are for you personally or for anything you decide to use it for. I know Annie needs money for her special apostolate with young people.
God bless,
July LeFevour, Eileen Atchison, Brigid Lazaro
[Back to Top]Dear Joe,
I believe Our Lady of Good Counsel and the Holy Spirit did their work at the Supreme Court! Without weapons. I wish you and Ann would put on paper your and Ann's remembrance (of the RICO ordeal). It would be a good seller if only to the pro-life people. You know how many there are!
God bless you and your family,
Ed McGuinness, East Rockaway, NY
Hi all,
Just wanted to share a comment given to me at the Face the Truth tour last Thursday. I manned the corner at Jackson and Michigan. A man was waiting at the crosswalk and looked at the sign I was holding and said we were doing a good job. I thanked him and he continued in his thick Scottish accent: "I'm visiting and when I see this I like America even more!" What a nice endorsement not only of our work but of our country.

Dear Joe,
You were on my mind today as I was reading from a book entitled The Marian Movement of Priests. The statement was "God alone ever has been, and still is, in every circumstance, the victor. God conquers especially when He appears defeated." Your situation came to mind when I read this. I thought it would cheer you on. God is doing such great things through you. I support you 100% and keep you in my prayers.
May God bless you, Yours in Christ,
Pauline Severino, Evans City, PA
[Back to Top]Joe,
In 3-6 months I have a new consulting contract, and have promised God to give 50% of the proceeds—and the Truth Tours are the best thing I know to end legal abortion. The baby killing factories hate it when we show up nearby. We've been on local TV and papers in Pennsylvania. I go on Monday to help Jack Ames in Baltimore and Washington. AMDG

Dear Joe,
I wanted to tell you how very much I enjoyed your visit to S5t. Paul this past May. You are such an inspiration! I only wish you could have stayed a bit longer, because there was so much to do—and so little time. However, I think we managed to pack in quite a lot in that short time frame.
The prayer vigil outside Planned Parenthood was so uplifting. Your presence there along with your words of encouragement have truly strengthened me in this battle we're up against.
A police visit is becoming customary when I'm sidewalk counseling, because I'm very vocal and I use graphic pictures as aides. Last week when (the security guard) was outside, he turned and looked at a picture of a later term abortion. The other sidewalk counselor remarked, "How could you look at this and not be moved?" He commented that I was harassing him and that he was not supposed to talk to us, "because I'll lose my temper." He then commenced to call the police, saying that I was calling him names. Actually I think the police are getting tired of responding to their call—which never have any basis or truth to them.

[Back to Top]Dear Joe,
After reading your letter I decided to dedicate my Saturday to you and also to give you my tips for the night. Business has not been great, so I prayed hard for a good night and all of my tips are being sent to you. Sincerely,
Therese Battaglia, South Elgin, IL
Dearest Joe,
I am writing you this letter from before the Blessed Sacrament. I wish to share some wonderful news with you. My friend Ave Maria, whom you spoke to at our LAPS dinner, and I are going to be leaving our current lives and starting a new lay order of missionaries for the unborn. It is with great joy that I announce this to you, as I know your heart would appreciate something like this.
First and foremost our mission is to set up youth adoration at parishes and secondly pray for an end to abortion. Then our work at the sidewalks comes from each of these.
It is with great honor that we received you that evening and we are so grateful for your incredible witness to the faith. Your commitment to the Holy Eucharist is an inspiration. We have found that through the Eucharist the Lord inspires hearts not only to save babies but also to do His holy will always. It is for this reason that I share that we are being called through the Eucharist to rely entirely on Divine Providence as the young St. Francis once did. We are taking each step under spiritual guidance of several spiritual directors including the Missionaries of Charity with whom we will be working closely.
I know you are a busy man and I will not take more of your time. I will keep you and your organization in my prayers. God bless always, in Christ,
Diana Bennett
Dear Joe,
I thank God for the Supreme Court decision and for all that it means for all pro-lifers. Keep up your good work and enjoy your home. You do not know me, but I knew Bob (Scheidler) well as he was a member of our RCIA team. Joanne (Bob's wife) gave me a copy of the article on you and I circulated it around the parish office. God bless you and all those who promote life.
Sincerely in Christ,
Sister Margaret Rose, SSND, Decatur, IN

Saw Joe with O'Reilly last night. Joe did well with him. Bill is hard to deal with at times but he is for the most part very pro-life, and hates spin just like I do. Fay Clayton is a pig and always will be, and that's no spin. I could tell Joe wanted more time with Bill but he goes fast. Bill respects Joe and said so and that was great he put that out there.
As for the guy that got executed for killing that murderer so-called doctor, I don't agree he should have done it, but the guy won't kill any more unborn children. Don't know how God received his soul, I hope he made it. God's law is thou shalt not kill both ways.
Thanks.
John Griffin, Waukesha, WI
Hi Joe and Eric,
I will pray for your truth mission. People need to see just how the grisly business of abortion really is. I commend you for yor work. I have known Joe for over twenty years. He came to Toledo when I was making one man rescue missions. His presence out in front of the abortuary probably saved my life when the abortionist came there to do his dasterdly deeds. The abortionist went ballistic and attacked the baby casket we had in front of the entrance of the abortuary. If it would have not been for Joe, I would have been the one attacked.
God bless you Joe.
Marjorie Reed, Ex-prisoner for Christ, Toledo, OH
