Pro-Abortion Vandalism Strikes Again in Rockford

Posted by John Jansen (November 11, 2010 at 3:49 pm)

billboardrockfordWe just received word from the Rockford (Illinois) Pro-Life Initiative that the pro-life billboard they erected November 1 was vandalized this week.

This incident is the latest in a series of obstacles that members of the Initiative have faced in recent years in their attempt to share the pro-life message.

Four years ago, a pro-life ad the group placed on a bus bench was repeatedly vandalized.

Signs of Life

Along the way, we attended Mass at various Catholic churches. At nearly every one of them we encountered a Pray to End Abortion sign, a poster advertising 40 Days for Life or an extensive bulletin notice about a pro-life event. Along the highways we saw billboards reading Abortion is a Choice that Kills, Choose Life or any number of other pro-life messages.

Even though we were on vacation and, in fact, didn’t miss the daily grind at the office at all, it was heartwarming to see these signs of life as we traveled over 4,000 miles across the mid-section of the United States. [Continue reading …]

“Too Many Aborted” Billboard Gets Great Press

Posted by Joe Scheidler (March 4, 2010 at 4:51 pm)

billboard For many years pro-lifers (including this writer) have predicted that someone in the secular media would, eventually, get it right—the abortion story, that is.

Now Robin Abcarian of the Chicago Tribune has come about as close as you can come.

Billboards Make Positive Press

In the Wednesday, March 3 edition of the Tribune, she writes about the
Georgia Billboards featuring the face of a black baby with the slogan “Black Children are an Endangered Species.” On the bottom of the billboard is the website,, which claims that “under the false liberty of reproductive freedom we are killing our very future.” [Continue reading …]
