Generations For Life Has Been Busy

Yesterday, Mother Teresa was named “Blessed” by Pope John Paul II. Over a quarter of a million people packed themselves into St. Peter’s square for her beatification. Not only was she a missionary of charity to the poorest of the poor in Calcutta, but she was a missionary to the poorest of the poor here in America.

While we may not be materially poor in the United States, we are, as the Great Mother put it, “spiritually poor.” At her speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. in 1994, Mother Teresa said, “Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.”
