March 10, 2004—Radicals from the group Refuse and Resist and several other organizations descend upon a League Face the Truth Tour at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, the first of a series of monthly Tours planned at Chicago area college campuses. The pro-abortion counter-protesters, many of them wearing masks, try to cover the League’s signs with their own and scream threateningly at the pro-lifers. Two of their leaders dog Joe and Eric Scheidler throughout the protest, hurling accusations in an attempt to goad them into a reaction. Thanks to the prayers of the rest of the group, Joe and Eric keep their cool.
