Andy ScholbergToday in League HistoryFebruary 13, 1989—The NOW v. Scheidler lawsuit, first filed in 1986, is amended to include charges under the Racketeering and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), a law designed to bring mob leaders to justice. Several defendants are also added, including Monica Migliorino, Tim Murphy and Andy Scholberg (pictured left). Monica, and all the female defendants in the suit, would later be dropped, apparently to avoid the incongruity of the National Organization for Women (NOW) suing women.
