Jennifer Giroux, Executive Director of One More Soul, came up with a creative fundraising event this past weekend in Cincinnati. “Dancing With the Pro-Life Stars” was a gala evening featuring a dais of leaders across the pro-life spectrum.
Joe Scheidler shared the stage and the dance floor with Jack and Barbara Willke, David Bereit, Bobby Schindler, Jill Stanek, Brian Gail, Janet Smith, Lila Rose and Fr. Tom Euteneur. Fr. Tom claimed that he had a dispensation that allowed him to stay off the dance floor.
Joe was presented with a beautiful statue of Our Lady, pregnant with Jesus.
During the dinner, each “star” spoke a few minutes to the five hundred guests, and thanked One More Soul for its ministry. One More Soul is committed to exposing the evils of contraception and the beauty of openness to life. They are also launching a website, in collaboration with Human Life International, dedicated to fostering large families.
Following dinner, the dance floor was opened to everyone in attendance. Lila Rose commented that the event was the “most fun pro-life event ever!”
After a few dances, Joe and Ann Scheidler headed back to Chicago where Joe was being honored at the Women’s Centers’ annual banquet. Over seven hundred people attended the luncheon and silent auction at the White Eagle.
Joe was presented with the Fortes in Fide award, along with a beautiful three-foot statue of the pregnant Blessed Mother, which now graces the Pro-Life Action League reception area.
