Protest of Planned Parenthood in ChicagoToday in League HistoryDecember 2, 1998—The League pickets a new Planned Parenthood location at 1200 N. LaSalle in Chicago. WLS-TV, the Chicago Tribune, City News, and WLS-Radio cover the picket. This new abortuary would become one of the busiest in the state, with such a consistent and effective pro-life outreach taking place on the sidewalk outside that Planned Parenthood would convince the City Council to enact a free speech “Bubble Zone” in 2009 in a failed attempt to curtail the peaceful pro-life activity.
