November 27, 1981—League Director Joe Scheidler spends the weekend in Louisville, Kentucky at the National Pro-Life Youth Convention. After attending talks given by two friends, Tom Mazzen and Burk Balch, Joe sneaks upstairs to put the finishing touches on the two speeches he will be giving the next morning, one on dealing with media and the other on non-violent direct action. That evening Joe mingles with other pro-life leaders, including sharing a cocktails with Fr. Paul Marx (pictured left), founder of Human Life International.
