November 26, 1989—The fallout continues from Illinois Attorney General Neil Hartigan’s backroom deal with notorious Illinois abortionist Richard Ragsdale over violations of state health codes. The League urges Chicago Cardinal Joseph Bernardin (pictured left) to deny Hartigan the sacraments for engineering a settlement with Ragsdale which allows abortion clinics in Illinois to be virtually unregulated.
