October 26, 1989—League Director Joe Scheidler has his tenth and final debate with Bill Baird at Illinois Wesleyan University before an audience of 600 students. Despite the fact that Wesleyan is a Christian college, a majority of the students applaud when Baird says “his god” approves of abortion and sex without commitment. Joe is delighted that the grueling debate series is finally at an end.
