September 27, 1990—League Director Joe Scheidler is deposed by attorneys from the National Organization for Women (NOW). NOW attorneys fish for evidence that Joe is involved in what they call “body snatching,” that he is active with Operation Rescue or that he is linked to abortion clinics bombers. Their goal is to prove that Joe is the criminal mastermind behind an illegal pro-life conspiracy, in support of their the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) charges in the NOW v. Scheidler case.
