Joe Scheidler protests Bill Bradley's teaching post at Notre DameToday in League HistoryAugust 31, 1998—The University of Notre Dame hires Senator Bill Bradley — a notorious abortion supporter — to its teaching faculty. League directors Joe and Ann Scheidler write to the provost urging him to revoke the position and to return to a respect for Catholic teaching. Joe urges hotline callers to write the provost as well in honor of his daughter Sarah, a junior at Notre Dame.
