Icon of Our LadyToday in League HistoryJuly 24, 1986—League Director Joe Scheidler lands in Pensacola, Florida, to face burglary charges stemming from a protest there in June. He is met at the airport by attorney Art Shimek, who informs him that the charges have been dropped, but Joe must immediately leave the state and not return before October. Joe boards the next flight to Houston, where he has a talk scheduled that evening, thanking the Blessed Mother for his deliverance.
