Scheidler case, which League Director Joe Scheidler and other defendants had lost at jury trial a year before. Coar awards the plaintiff’s—the National Organization for Women and abortion clinics—treble damages under the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statue in the amount of $257,780.76 and issues a nationwide injunction against the defendants.
