July 1, 1986—The League holds its semi-annual gold raffle fundraiser. The prize is a Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle twenty dollar gold piece worth nearly $350. The winner donates the gold piece back to the League, as the winner would do each of the six times the raffle is held.
